Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide the Service:

  • Account data: Email address, name (if provided), and authentication credentials managed by Supabase Auth.
  • Payment data: Processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We store a card fingerprint (a non-reversible identifier) to prevent multi-account abuse.
  • Video content: Videos you upload for processing. Source videos are temporarily stored during processing. Generated clips are stored until you delete them.
  • Usage data: Processing minutes used, clips created, and costs incurred per billing period.
  • Technical data: IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention), browser type, and basic request logs.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the video processing Service
  • To manage your account and subscription
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • To communicate about your account (billing, service updates)
  • To improve the Service (aggregate, anonymized usage patterns only)

We do NOT:

  • Sell your personal data to third parties
  • Use your video content to train AI models
  • Share your data with advertisers
  • Access or view your video content except as necessary for debugging (with your permission)

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase — Database and authentication. Data stored in their cloud infrastructure.
  • Cloudflare R2 — Video and clip file storage.
  • Modal — Video processing compute. Videos are processed on their infrastructure and not retained after processing.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis for clip selection. Transcript text (not video) is sent for analysis.
  • Groq / OpenAI — Speech-to-text transcription. Audio is processed and not retained.
  • Vercel — Web hosting and serverless functions.
  • Sentry — Error tracking (no personal data, only technical error information).

4. Data Storage and Retention

  • Source videos are deleted after processing is complete.
  • Generated clips and thumbnails are stored until you delete them or your account is terminated.
  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • Upon account deletion, we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records).

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted token storage (AES-256-GCM for social media tokens), and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your clips and data
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Object to processing where applicable under GDPR

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only (authentication session cookies managed by Supabase). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies beyond basic Vercel Analytics (anonymous page view counts).

8. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
